Why choose an ultra-light kids’ bike from BikeUP?

Our kids’ bikes are designed with a focus on safety, quality, and riding enjoyment. The design and safety features of BikeUP kids’ bikes exceed the requirements of the European standard EN ISO 8098. We collaborated with cycling industry experts in the development, design, and testing of the kids’ bikes. As a result, we can now say that BikeUP bikes meet the most stringent quality standards:

Weight:

Foxies are designed with light weight in mind, which is essential for the easy handling of the bike by a child. The frame is made of aluminum (for example, our 16" model weighs 3 kilograms less than the best-selling bikes of this size).

Safe View:

An important feature is also a comfortable upright sitting, which we achieved by using higher angle-adjustable handlebars. The child feels comfortable and has a good view.

Stability:

We built on a larger wheelbase, i.e. the distance from the center of the front and rear wheels. A slightly longer bike is more stable when riding and makes it easier for a small biker to get started on a bike.

Our Story

Who are we?

We are a group of fathers and uncles who have spent hundreds of euros on bicycles for their children. We realized that buying them a new one almost every two years is neither financially nor ecologically sustainable. We were looking for a place where we could rent a high-quality children's bike, but we couldn't find such an option anywhere.

Why do we do this?

We did some research on the market, but also among our friends - many expensive bikes lie unused in garages, basements, attics... We decided to change that. We have found a way to save your wallet, nature and time.

How do we turn worries into joy at BikeUp?

In contrast to the outdated model of owning things, we pay attention to their efficient and sustainable use. Together with cycling experts, we designed ultra-light children’s bikes that you can rent through monthly, half-yearly, or yearly subscriptions.

When your child outgrows the bike, we simply replace it with a larger model. We refurbish the returned bikes, and after servicing them, we donate them to children from disadvantaged families and to children’s homes.
